Kindergarten Registration

On April 10th, I registered Piper for kindergarten. I can't believe my baby is big enough to get on the school bus and go to elementary school! She is beyond excited about it, but it is very bittersweet to me. I am so sad that she is growing up and that my time with her at home with me is coming to an end, but when I see her face light up whenever she talks about kindergarten how can I not be excited for her. She is constantly practicing her reading and writing so she is ready for school. She is very serious about it.

I have to admit I got a little jolt of energy rush through my body being in an elementary school again. I didn't know if I really wanted to go back in the classroom when the girls were in school full time, but just sitting in that office, filling out papers, watching the quiet lines of classes walk by answered the question for me- YES! I didn't realize how much I missed it until I was there. I have loved the time I have been able to stay home and I am so grateful that Bob works so hard so that I am able to, but when Paige is in first grade I really think I want to get back in there, hopefully part time so I can still be in their classes helping out.

Happy Easter (a week late)

The Easter bunny came and did his thing. The night before we colored eggs and I think Bob and I made more of a mess than they did. It was neat to see that they both could write their own name on their egg this year.

We made it to church and it was a pretty long mass. Piper is our little bible thumper that begs to go to church and she even looked at me at about the hour mark and said maybe we shouldn't have come to church this week. We went to my parents' house and had a yummy dinner. I will just be happy when all of the Easter candy is gone and the two spawns of satan leave and my sweet girls return. Sugar highs (and lows ) suck!

Oh and I made the famous bunny cake that has been served for many, many years! This yea
r I added some coconut grass.

Soccer Season Has Begun!

Okay so I am a little late posting this, but on April 6th, the girls started soccer. Piper is playing with the same coach and a few of the same kids she played with in the fall. She is really good. We are so proud how she gets in there and isn't afraid to get the ball. This is Paige's first year and she really likes it. We just need to stress the imprtance with her to not pick up the ball and position it to her liking. Both of the girls scored a goal!

My Celebrity Look Alike

http://www.myheritage.com

My friend Brenda did this on her blog so I thought I would play along too. You can do one too at www.myheritage.com

I had eight matches, but these were the only four I thought people would recognize. I must admit was I completely petrified it was going to match me to Carnie Wilson, Rosie O'Donnell and Ricki Lake (the early years), but I was pleasantly surprised.
